Meet the founder - Aubrey

I started sewing as a teenager at the age of 15 sewing clothing items, baby gifts, and blankets/quilts for friends and family outside of my schooling and responsibilities around the home. Sewing became one of my favorite things to do after school and on the weekends in my spare time. I continued to pursue this passion after I graduated from high school and got married in 2007. At this time I moved away from Texas and established my new life in Utah where I worked in the craft retail industry and developed even more love for crafting and creating. I continued to make items and give them to family and friends as we started to grow our own family. I welcomed my first baby girl in May of 2011 and the necessity for cute and trendy baby items became apparent. I changed pace and started developing trendy and cute baby accessories for my own baby and carried her around in her carseat in style. People began to express lots of interest in my products being available for purchase to the public. After years of preparation and working out schedules with a new life as a young mom, in February of 2015, Toad & Twiddlebugs was officially established as a DBA and later an LLC where I created my items and sold them at local vendor events and shops throughout the year. A few months later I developed an e-commerce shop on Etsy. This took the creativity to a whole new level with sales extending online rather than just in person and to people I knew. Through the years I have continued to work other jobs alongside running and managing all aspects of my own growing business and being a mom first and foremost. The name Toad & Twiddlebugs came from the nickname I was given as a little girl, “Toad”. I now have 3 children, 2 girls and a boy, who are the “Twiddlebugs” in my business name. I am excited to continue developing and creating new and exciting items for you and look forward to getting to do business with you.
